We are a group of neighbors in Ocean Hill-Brownsville committed to improving our community and fighting for the respect we deserve. We believe that the problems we face can only be solved if neighbors work together for the common good. We are motivated by a deep sense of commitment to our community and our belief that all people deserve a life with dignity, equal rights and the ability to have their voices heard on the issues that shape their lives. Our name is a reference to the Civil Rights Movement, when the demand for "freedom now!" brought millions of people into action in a struggle that transformed society.
